Hemp & CBD FAQs

The main difference between these three types of products is what compounds they are made up of. Isolate is made up of only cannabidiol while broad spectrum and full spectrum have other compounds found in hemp as well. The difference between broad spectrum and full spectrum is that full spectrum contains less than 0.3% of THC in the oil.

When introduced to the body, CBD products interact with the endocannabinoid system — a complex network of receptors and neurotransmitters spread throughout the entire body. This system is tasked with regulating the balance of various organ systems.

The greatest abundance of these receptors is located in the brain, the central nervous system, and the immune system. Almost every organ in your body, including the skin and digestive tract, comes with cannabinoid receptors.

By increasing our naturally occurring endocannabinoid, CBD runs through your body to help restore balance in each of these organs.

CBD exhibits no effects on humans indicative of any abuse or dependence potential.

To date, there is no evidence of recreational use of CBD or any public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.

Chronic use and high doses up to 1,500 mg/day of CBD are reportedly well tolerated.

Yes, as long as it is derived from hemp, not marijuana, and contains less than 0.3% THC.

Due to the fact that there are multiple types of THC (delta 8, delta 9, and so on) and state laws are constantly changing, we cannot say for sure which states THC is legal in, and which types are legal versus illegal. We recommend checking your state’s laws before purchasing any THC products online.

Most drug tests screen for the psychoactive compound THC, not cannabidiol (CBD).

However, full-spectrum hemp extracts contain trace amounts of THC, so they could cause a positive result when screening urine and blood specimens, especially when taken at high doses.

Yes. CBD inhibits the cytochrome P450 enzyme involved in metabolizing many drugs. Compounds in grapefruit inhibit the same enzyme group which is why physicians advise patients not to eat grapefruit shortly before or after taking certain medications. By inhibiting cytochrome P450, CBD can either reduce or increase the effects of other drugs. In some situations, it may be advisable for a physician to monitor a patient’s blood levels of other medications while taking CBD.

If your medication has the “grapefruit warning” on the bottle, speak to your physician before taking CBD.

If you are pregnant or nursing we advise you to consult with your doctor before taking any of our products.

While an allergic reaction to CBD is rare, it can happen. You could be reacting to another compound in the product. If you experience any adverse reactions to our products, we recommend you stop using the product and consult your doctor before continuing.

There is no set dosage for CBD oil or related products, it’s best to start with small amounts at the beginning to determine what works for your body.

We recommend taking ½ dropper twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. If you feel like you’re not receiving the results that you’re needing after 4-6 days, you can increase that dose by ½ dropper once per day. Repeat this process until you start experiencing the results you’re looking for.

No. Hemp-derived CBD products, no matter the type, simply do not contain enough THC to cause any psychoactive effects.

Natural Ways CBD FAQs

We have been in business since 2019, when we opened our first brick-and-mortar store in the Houston, Texas area. Now, we have five stores and an online store.

We carry products from a variety of brands, but every product we carry is manufactured in the USA from American-grown hemp. Our own line of products is made in our home state of Texas.

Given that cannabinoids degrade over time and lose potency, our products have a best-by date of 1 year. We never ship products that are even close to expiration to ensure our customers get the potency, taste, and safety they deserve from CBD and THC products.

We offer free shipping on orders over $49. All other orders are subject to flat-rate shipping. We ship our orders through USPS.

Yes, we accept returns on unopened items as long as you notify us within 14 days.
